We are humbled and grateful to introduce you to the 4th edition of Lungta's Calendar 2022. This year we have thought out of the box and have come up with narrative artwork that summons the feel of Darjeeling in the 21st century. Our motive is to bring a feeling of sense of belonging for our place - Darjeeling.

Aashwin Pradhan,
Writer & Director

Mr. Aashwin has lived in Darjeeling after completing his engineering studies and a project with DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization, India). He is currently the Director of Aplife Creative Production (OPC) Pvt. Ltd. He has also been recently appointed as a Project Lead of Darjeeling Children Trust, a registered charity in England and Wales working for a brighter future for children and young people in Darjeeling. 

 

"He has the heart of a sage, the mind of a writer and eyes of a sojourner. His nature is calm and reflective. He has a groundedness and an appreciation for the natural world and loves to take a walk in the Himalayan forest near his home. He is a motorcycle enthusiast and loves to travel in his motorcycle. He is an asset for Darjeeling and his service rendered for the needy is well appreciated.

He came up with the idea of creating Utopia as a motive to bring a sense of belonging towards his home - Darjeeling. This is the fourth edition of the calendar series. It is a unique one as it holds a combination of plain-spoken stories around Darjeeling assisted with the beautiful paintings of Mr. Nayandra. It is a team initiative to make Darjeeling visible world wide."

Nayandra Lama,
Artist

Mr. Nayandra, art teacher at St. Joseph's School, North Point Darjeeling has been involved in creativity since childhood. He is a professional artist, passionate musician and loves to express his jazz music with his extension of 1963 old Japanese electric guitar. His paintings have been appreciated worldwide even during the older times when technology was out of reach in Darjeeling. His work speaks of eternal creativity and he believes that he is still learning to improve his art work. 

He lives in Darjeeling with his family and a dog. He loves to rejuvenate by walking in the tea gardens. Everyone would love to visit his sacred space at his house with a beautiful sunset in the background accompanied by music, artwork and a smoked flavor Darjeeling tea to cheer it all up.

Kritanjali Agarwal,
Designer

Ms. Kritanjali, completed her diploma in 3D Animation & Designing from MAAC (Maya Institute Of Advanced Cinematics), Delhi. In today's digital era she is leading her creativity work with 3D models and animations which have been a necessity globally. 

She is currently based in Darjeeling and has contributed immensely in the projects of Lungta Creative Production. She is a learner and is evolving each day as a better human being as well as improving her 21st century skills in design.
