We would like to thank Darjeeling Children Trust (DCT), for your contribution towards our hometown. It is from the good deed of yours, that we have learnt a lot of value system. We often talk about the contribution of DCT and reflect that DCT is doing more for Darjeeling than some of the locals. Darjeeling is a beautiful place and we are assured that Darjeeling will remain beautiful forever if like minded people keeps supporting our beautiful town. It was an emotional journey for us to develop this film. The children are really touched and moved by DCT's efforts and they a have a huge sense of gratitude towards DCT's work. Tears of joy bursts out when children from rural areas have a home, school and a career. This is the only life worth living and we are humbly inspired by the trustees of DCT. We wish the message of this film reaches out to many good people who would want to contribute for a good deed.

Windamere is one of the oldest Colonial Property of India in the Himalayas. It is situated on Observatory Hill, a Darjeeling landmark, believed to be the focus and repository of life-enhancing cosmic energies. Established in the 19th century as a cozy boarding house for bachelor English and Scottish tea planters, it was converted into a hotel just before the outbreak of the Second World War. Well known to sophisticated travellers the world over, the Windamere is famous for its unique ambience and charm, and has been the subject of many leading stories in the international media.

DESCRIPTION :
CHAM - ‘The very core of the dances is to be a representation of the activity of the mind essence beyond conceptual thinking.” - His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche - High in the Himalayas, in Bhutan, Darjeeling,Sikkim, Tibet, Nepal, and India, and across the steppes of Mongolia, Buddhist monks in medieval monasteries hold sacred festivals once a year, during which they perform 1,300-year-old mystical dances, collectively called cham, in order to transform evil for the benefit of the entire world. The monks meditate for days and even weeks beforehand, visualizing and invoking protective deities. Then they stage elaborate performances during which, visualizing themselves as deities, performing ancient movements, and repeating sacred mantras (invocations), they draw in the evil in the crowd and the surrounding world. The evil is trapped in an effigy, a human body made of dough. At the climax of the ceremony, the dance master (called a chamspon) cuts open the effigy and draws the evil into his own body to show it peace and the path to liberation, thus transforming it.

This is rural Darjeeling. The young girl named Ria, juts graduated from a local college. A foreign man came to their home and offered a well paying office job away from home. The family was excited about the job that the man offered.They agreed and Ria decided to leave home the next week. Ria packed her bags and sat on the plane for the first time. She arrived at her destination where she met a man. The man seized Ria’s passport and phone. Forcefully, he drove Ria to a mysterious building in the city. Ria found herself trapped in a brothel. She was forced to have sec against her will. Ria was blackmailed by the man and told her “if she tries to escape her family will be murdered.” Ria lost hope and did not know what to do. This is human trafficking, It occurs when people are recruited them deceived. It is a modern day slavery. Everyone can help end human trafficking. Start Spreading Awareness.
