Darjeeling Children Trust (DCT) was founded on February 2008 and has been serving the children of Darjeeling by providing the children with

education, vocational training, construction of the children's home and catering to the needs of the underprivileged children in Darjeeling. 

Tieedi is an environment conservation organisation based out Darjeeling.

It practices Permaculture that teaches the art of working with Mother Nature.
In the current time period with rapid development of civilization and a steep increase in population taking place humans have been ignorant towards nature and its wellbeing.
 

This is the only specialized Zoo in the country and is internationally recognized for its conservation breeding programmes of Red Panda, Snow Leopards, Tibetan Wolf and other highly endangered animal species of Eastern Himalaya.
